Meet Our Founder
My name is Shawn, born on the North side of Chicago, raised on Chicago’s West side in the heart of North Lawndale.
After taking Botany in high school I developed an interest in plants and wanted to learn more about how to use them to add quality to life. In College I took more plant science and learned about plant growth, reproduction, evolution, and adaptation, as well as the use of plants for food, fiber, and ornamental purposes, I also took anatomy and physiology. At that time I was really on the fence about my career and I really didn’t know what I wanted to do with the knowledge that I obtained. But God knew that I was preparing myself for my future before I did.
Working in various healthcare facilities and hospital settings over the years seeing people sick with ongoing health issues has always inspired me to evaluate what I’m putting in my body and on my skin. I’ve always been health conscious and into using Natural Home Remedies when needed for myself and family.
Genesis 1:29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.

Being more conscious and woke as some may say lead my family and I to a complete transition into the plant-based lifestyle.
After being heart broken with the loss of my father in 2019 to various complications from Kidney disease, diabetes, & heart problems. With further research I learned that you can starve disease or feed disease. In my studies I've learned that eating the right foods can add quality to life, naturally detoxify the body, colon, lymphatic system and fight disease.
Soon after my fathers passing I became a Certified Master Herbalist.
It's safe to say I've developed a Love Jones for Plants and I'm loving it.
With so many diseases devastating families & communities, I decided to take a stand for humanity, share my knowledge with others and start a Mobile Herbal Store. On this journey I’ve developed a cookbook, and a blog to inspire and share with moms, teens, and families across the world tasty plant-based recipes, skincare regimens, healthy habit routines, and to help the struggling/ transitioning vegan. My goal is to completely transition to an Alkaline lifestyle, as of right now my family and I eat 80% plant-based wholefood and 20% vegan. We also engage in detox regimens as a family and want to inspire other families to do the same.

Naturally Divine Organics was founded January 2020 to raise awareness about common diseases in the black and brown community.
Naturally Divine Organics is not your average herbal store, we don’t only provide High quality herbs, sea moss and sea moss products, we also provide education about superfoods, encourage families to embrace holistic alternatives and teach families how to use food as Natural Healing tools to nourish and restore the body.
